Peer Review Process

International Journal of Research in Vocational Studies (IJRVOCAS) applies an editorial and peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and ethical integrity of submitted manuscripts.

The editorial process generally includes the following stages:

  1. Initial Submission Check

After submission, the editorial office checks the completeness of the manuscript and metadata, including title, abstract, keywords, author information, affiliations, references, and supporting documents where applicable.

  1. Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor evaluates whether the manuscript is relevant to the journal’s aims and scope, follows the author guidelines, meets basic academic standards, and complies with publication ethics. Manuscripts that are outside the scope of the journal or do not meet basic requirements may be returned to the authors or declined before peer review.

  1. Similarity and Ethical Check

The manuscript may be checked for similarity, plagiarism, duplicate publication, ethical concerns, authorship issues, and other forms of publication misconduct. Authors may be asked to provide clarification or revision when necessary.

  1. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass editorial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. IJRVOCAS uses a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

  1. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editor may decide to accept the submission, request revisions, ask the authors to resubmit for review, or decline the submission. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor.

  1. Revision by Authors

Authors are expected to revise their manuscript carefully according to the reviewers’ and editor’s comments. A response to reviewers may be required to explain how the comments have been addressed.

  1. Final Evaluation

The revised manuscript is evaluated by the editor and may be returned to reviewers when necessary. Acceptance is granted only when the manuscript meets the journal’s academic, ethical, and editorial standards.

  1. Copyediting, Layout, and Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, metadata checking, DOI registration where applicable, and online publication.

The duration of the editorial and peer-review process may vary depending on manuscript quality, reviewer availability, revision requirements, and editorial workload. IJRVOCAS does not provide fast-track review, guaranteed acceptance, or publication decisions based on payment. All manuscripts are processed according to the journal’s standard editorial and peer-review procedures.
