Use of Generative AI
International Journal of Research in Vocational Studies (IJRVOCAS) recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools may be used to support academic writing, language editing, data organization, or research assistance. However, the use of generative AI must be transparent, responsible, and ethically appropriate.
Authors may use generative AI tools to improve language clarity, grammar, readability, formatting, or organization of the manuscript. However, generative AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot take responsibility for the integrity, originality, accuracy, and ethical compliance of the work.
Authors are fully responsible for all content submitted to IJRVOCAS, including any content generated or assisted by AI tools. Authors must ensure that the manuscript is accurate, original, properly cited, free from plagiarism, and compliant with research and publication ethics.
If generative AI tools are used substantially in the preparation of a manuscript, authors must disclose their use in the manuscript, preferably in the acknowledgements, methods, or a separate disclosure statement. The disclosure should include the name of the AI tool, the purpose of use, and the extent of assistance provided.
Generative AI tools must not be used to fabricate data, create false references, manipulate images or results, misrepresent findings, or produce content that violates academic integrity. Authors must carefully verify all AI-assisted content, including facts, citations, references, calculations, and interpretations.
Reviewers and editors must not upload confidential manuscripts, reviewer reports, or unpublished materials into generative AI tools unless the tool is officially approved by the journal and provides adequate privacy and confidentiality protection. Manuscripts under review are confidential documents and must be handled accordingly.
IJRVOCAS reserves the right to request clarification from authors regarding the use of generative AI tools. Failure to disclose substantial AI use, or the unethical use of AI in manuscript preparation, may result in rejection, correction, retraction, or other editorial actions.
