Research Ethics Policy

International Journal of Research in Vocational Studies (IJRVOCAS) is committed to promoting ethical research practices and responsible scholarly publishing. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all research submitted to the journal has been conducted ethically, transparently, and in accordance with applicable institutional, national, and international standards.

Research involving human participants, personal data, students, teachers, employees, organizations, institutions, communities, surveys, interviews, observations, experiments, or other forms of human-related data must be conducted with appropriate ethical consideration. Authors must ensure that participants’ rights, dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and safety are protected.

Authors should obtain ethical approval from an appropriate institutional review board, ethics committee, or relevant authority when required by their institution, country, research context, or funding body. If formal ethical approval is not required, authors should clearly state the reason in the manuscript.

Informed consent must be obtained from participants when required. Participants should be informed about the purpose of the study, their role in the research, the voluntary nature of participation, confidentiality measures, potential risks, and their right to withdraw where applicable.

For research involving minors, vulnerable participants, sensitive information, or institutional data, authors must ensure that additional safeguards are applied. Consent from parents, guardians, institutions, or relevant authorities may be required depending on the research context.

Authors must anonymize or de-identify personal data where appropriate and must avoid disclosing information that could identify participants, institutions, or organizations without permission. Data must be collected, stored, analyzed, and reported responsibly.

IJRVOCAS may request authors to provide evidence of ethical approval, informed consent, institutional permission, or other supporting documentation during the editorial and peer-review process. Failure to provide reasonable clarification may affect the editorial decision.

Manuscripts that involve unethical research practices, lack appropriate consent or approval where required, misuse personal data, or violate participant confidentiality may be rejected. If ethical concerns are identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction depending on the nature and severity of the case.

By submitting a manuscript to IJRVOCAS, authors confirm that the research has been conducted ethically and that all necessary approvals, permissions, and consent have been obtained where required.
