Author Guidelines
Review of Equity, Inclusion and Society (REIS)
1. Introduction
Review of Equity, Inclusion and Society (REIS) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in equity, inclusion, and social transformation. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
2. Types of Manuscripts
REIS accepts the following types of contributions:
- Research Articles (6,000–8,000 words)
- Review Papers (6,000–9,000 words)
- Policy and Practice Papers (4,000–6,000 words)
- Case Studies (3,000–5,000 words)
- Short Communications (2,000–3,000 words)
3. Manuscript Structure
Authors should organize their manuscript as follows:
- Title
- Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (5–7 keywords)
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
4. Formatting Requirements
- Language: English
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2.5 cm (all sides)
- Page numbers: bottom center
5. Citation and References
REIS uses APA 7th Edition referencing style.
Example:
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages. https://doi.org/xxxxx
Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant references (preferably within the last 5 years).
6. Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).
Authors are required to:
- Register an account
- Complete submission metadata
- Upload manuscript and supplementary files
7. Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Initial editorial screening
- Review by at least two independent reviewers
- Revision (if required)
- Final decision by Editor
8. Ethical Considerations
Authors must adhere to ethical standards, including:
- Originality of work
- Proper citation of sources
- No plagiarism or duplicate submission
- Disclosure of conflicts of interest
9. Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software.
- Maximum similarity index: 15%
- Proper citation is mandatory
10. Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for:
- Accuracy of data and findings
- Proper acknowledgment of sources
- Ensuring the manuscript meets journal standards
11. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright and agree to publish under:
- Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)
12. Open Access Policy
All articles are published as open access, allowing free access and distribution.
13. Author Charges
At present:
- No submission fee
- No publication fee (APC)
14. Revision and Resubmission
Authors must:
- Respond to reviewer comments clearly
- Submit revised manuscript within the given timeframe
15. Final Submission Checklist
Before submission, authors should ensure:
- Manuscript follows journal format
- All references are complete and correct
- Figures and tables are properly labeled
- Ethical requirements are fulfilled
