Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Review of Equity, Inclusion and Society (REIS)
1. Introduction
Review of Equity, Inclusion and Society (REIS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

3. Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
Originality and Plagiarism
- Submitted work is original and properly cited
- Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited
Multiple or Concurrent Submission
- Manuscripts are not submitted to more than one journal simultaneously
Data Integrity
- Data presented is accurate and not fabricated or manipulated
Authorship
- All listed authors have significantly contributed to the research
- All contributors are properly acknowledged
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
- Any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest must be disclosed
Acknowledgment of Sources
- Proper citation of all sources used in the research

Editors are responsible for:

- Making decisions based on academic merit, relevance, and originality
Confidentiality
- Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts

- Evaluating manuscripts without discrimination

- Avoiding handling manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist

5. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers must:
Confidentiality
- Treat manuscripts as confidential documents
Objectivity
- Provide unbiased and constructive feedback
Acknowledgment of Sources
- Identify relevant published work not cited
Conflict of Interest
- Decline review if a conflict of interest exists
Timeliness
- Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe
6. Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher is committed to:
- Supporting editorial independence
- Ensuring ethical standards are maintained
- Providing technical and administrative support
- Safeguarding the integrity of the academic record
7. Handling of Misconduct
In cases of suspected or proven misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication, unethical research):
- The journal will investigate the issue
- Authors will be contacted for clarification
- Appropriate actions will be taken, including:
- Manuscript rejection
- Retraction of published articles
- Notification to affiliated institutions (if necessary)
8. Retraction and Correction Policy
If errors or ethical issues are identified after publication:
- Corrections or errata will be issued
- Articles may be retracted if necessary
- Retraction notices will be clearly linked to the original article
9. Conflicts of Interest
All parties (authors, reviewers, editors) must disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence the research or publication process.
10. Ethical Standards for Research Involving Humans or Animals
Authors must ensure that:
- Research involving human participants complies with ethical standards and includes informed consent
- Research involving animals follows institutional and international guidelines
11. AI and Automated Content
Authors must disclose the use of AI tools in manuscript preparation. AI-generated content must not replace original scholarly contribution and must be used responsibly.

REIS reserves the right to update this publication ethics statement in accordance with evolving international standards and best practices.
